About Us

Who We Are

The Commonwealth Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards is an international platform dedicated to recognizing excellence, fostering strategic partnerships, and promoting sustainable business growth across the Commonwealth.

Founded by Asha Jayamanne, the initiative was established with a vision to create a high-level forum that brings together distinguished leaders from the corporate, public, and development sectors to collaborate, exchange insights, and celebrate outstanding achievements. Building on the success of the South Asian Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards, which has been conducted annually since 2016 across multiple countries in South Asia, the Commonwealth platform was launched to expand this vision to a broader international audience.

Since its inception, the Commonwealth Summit has been successfully hosted across key global locations, including Singapore, South Africa, and Malaysia, reflecting its growing international presence and relevance. The platform continues to attract senior decision-makers, industry leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, providing a credible and prestigious environment for recognition, dialogue, and collaboration.

Founder / Chairperson

Asha Jayamanne is a business leader and entrepreneur with experience in international business networking, event leadership, and partnership development. She is the Founder and Chairperson of the Commonwealth Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards and the South Asian Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards, where she oversees strategic direction, international engagement, and overall program development. She leads the planning and coordination of international conferences, awards programs, and business forums involving global participants, corporate representatives, and industry stakeholders. She continues to work on strengthening international business collaboration, entrepreneurship development, and leadership engagement across Commonwealth and South Asian regions.

Director Thisara Gunasinghe

Thisara Gunasinghe

Director / Partner - Asia Sector

Thisara Gunasinghe is a business development and event management professional with experience in international conferences and partnership coordination. He serves as Director of the Commonwealth Partnership Summit and Business Excellence Awards and South Asian Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards, where he is responsible for event coordination, delegate management stakeholder engagement, and international communications. He supports the planning and execution of conferences, forums, and networking events involving entrepreneurs, business leaders, and organizations across multiple countries. He continues to engage in international business development activities focused on collaboration and professional networking.

Event Co-Chair / Partner - Europe Sector

Nina Khan is a UK-based business professional with experience in international networking, stakeholder engagement, and partnership coordination. She serves as UK Partner for the Commonwealth Partnership Summit and Business Excellence Awards, where she supports UK-based engagement, coordination of international stakeholders, and partnership development activities. She works with business professionals and organizations to facilitate communication, collaboration, and participation in international business events and conferences.She continues to support cross-border engagement between UK stakeholders and international business communities.

Dr. Khyati Shetty Datta

Dr. Khyati Shetty Datta

Partner - Caribbean and Americas Sector

An academic and business education professional with experience in executive education, leadership development, organizational management, entrepreneurship, and international professional development. She serves as a member of the Organising Committee and evaluation panel of the Commonwealth Business Excellence Awards, where she contributes to participant evaluation, leadership assessment, and international engagement activities supporting the execution of the program. She currently holds a senior academic position at the University of the Fraser Valley, Canada, and supports global academic and leadership initiatives.

Vinesh Sukhari

Mr. Vinesh Sukhari

Partner - Africa Sector

Vinesh Sukhari is an international business professional with experience in event coordination, strategic partnerships, and business networking initiatives. He serves as a member of the Organising Committee of the Commonwealth Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards. He previously served as Event Co-Chair for the Commonwealth Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards 2024 held in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he contributed to international coordination and event operations. He continues to support international business forums and networking initiatives. Through his ongoing involvement in international business forums, he continues to support initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and global business collaboration.

An experienced technology and business professional with a background in data engineering, enterprise systems, and digital transformation initiatives across international organizations. He serves as a member of the Organizing Committee of the Commonwealth Business Excellence Awards, where he contributes to technology coordination, systems support, and operational aspects related to international event execution and digital engagement.

His professional experience spans enterprise technology, data-driven systems, and large-scale business environments, where he has been involved in designing and supporting scalable solutions for organizational operations and digital platforms. Through his ongoing professional engagement, he supports initiatives focused on innovation, digital transformation, and the effective use of technology in international business and event ecosystems.
